Our Team
Joshua Baker
Executive Director

As the Executive Director for Lloyd EcoDistrict, Joshua leads the organization's vision and operations while continuing to support the programs and events outlined in the 2030 Roadmap. Joshua served as the organization's Outreach Program Manager from 2020 before stepping into the Executive Director role in 2026. Previously, he spent nearly a decade working in outreach and program management with energy and mission-driven nonprofits, including Solar Oregon and Western Energy Institute, where he advanced clean energy adoption and utility sector collaboration. He also currently serves on the Lloyd Community Association Board.
Outside of work, Joshua tends a community garden plot, volunteers with Portland's Neighborhood Emergency Team program, co-leads Queerzamas (a queer mountaineering group within the Mazamas), and participates in conservation projects in the High Desert.

Yawen Lei
Community Engagement Intern
she/her
As the Community Engagement Intern, Yawen supports Lloyd EcoDistrict’s summer programming by helping plan and coordinate community events, including neighborhood cleanups, park activations, and Lloyd Live. She will also be planning and supporting events like our Play Street Block Party at The Louisa Flowers and gaining experience in coordinating outreach, volunteers, logistics, and on-site operations.
Yawen is a student at the University of Oregon, where she is double majoring in Political Science and Global Studies with a minor in Art. She has experience in community engagement through youth voter registration, participatory budgeting research, and peer advocacy, and is passionate about building stronger, more connected communities.

Join the Lloyd EcoDistrict Board of Directors
Lloyd EcoDistrict is overseen by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors, responsible for guiding our organization's direction and finances. We are committed to making board membership accessible and rewarding, offering orientation, training, and mentoring to new members.
Currently, we're looking for new board members who share our dedication to equity, resilience, and climate action. We need individuals ready to actively contribute to our neighborhood's growth and prosperity.
